Is peak with a couple of their operators who, in my oppinion, are trying to make me pay this debt by attempting to associate me and my family with their deliquent account.
One employee ID# flat out refused to remove my telephone number from the account unless I gave them my name, address and telephone number. I am not going to take any chances with these scumbags and when I asked for a suporvisor, the same employee refused again telling me that I have to give her my name, adddress and telephone number for her to let me speak to a suporviser.
When I told her that I was recording the telephone call she told me I didn't have her permssion to record the call. Of course when you call, Sears says they are recording the call so they have given permission for the other party to record the call. These people are stupid.
I called again and spoke with employee ID# with the same results. Sears is a scummy company that does business with a scummy business and as I said, they appear to be trying to attach my information to this account.
I called their legal department at 857-286-0405 but nobody answers so I guess suing these scumbags is the only way I can stop the harassment.

This says to me that Sears has the deliquent account that has my telephone number attached to it or this is an attempt at identity theft or some other type of scam. I am game for the call back.
This was not the case. Apparently this person had had my telephone number in 1995 and now the account was deliquent. I figured no problem, remove my number from the account and problem solved. No more calls from these debt collectors for Michelle. Oh but not with Gina. No she wanted me to essentially claim the account and declare the account fraudulent.
I explained that it was not my account and I was not going to be getting involved with their account. This has nothing to do with me other than Sears having my telephone number attached to their now deliquent account. Then Gina [from Virginia] from the Fraud Department rattled on about how this was going to affect my credit. I asked how since they did not have my SS# and it was not my account.
Gina [from Virginia] really had little to say about that. I had an issue because about a month or so ago we actually purchased an LG front load washer from Sears and I was concerned that they had my address and some minor information and that Sears might attempt to connect me and my wife with this deliquent account.
I requested Gina [from Virginia] remove our telephone number from the account and she again refused to do so, I requested to speak with a suporvisor, she refused to connect me to a supervisor and again threaten this would impact my credit. Eventually Gina [from Virginia] from the Fraud Department hung up on me.
Think about it. If you can even get the stupidhead debt collectors to quit calling the wrong number, the original account will simply be sold time and again and you have little to no rights to stop the calls. Although a single case I am aware of created standing to sue the debt collector for calling the wrong number. he plaintiff eventually did not collect damages but the case did create standing because the debt collector fully beleived the person at the other end of the telephone to owe the debt and so the Court stated that gave the call recipient standing to claim damages for harassment.
